Network Planning

Network Planning

We have expertise in road, bicycle and pedestrian planning, so can assure Clients that all aspects are considered in developing plans that address the need for safe transportation for all road users.

By identifying the present function of roads and pathways we can define the network of facilities which carry the highest user volumes. Deficiencies in this network can then be identified.

For example, a deficiency may be a lack of alternative routes, major roads spaced too far apart, or intersection layout problems that limit capacity. Alternatively, "deficiencies" may be viewed as undesirable impacts on adjacent land uses due to the intrusion of traffic into inappropriate areas.

Our planning work is supported by our expertise in traffic operations which ensures clients that our plans are functional when implemented.
